Sheet Metal Processing Services For All Kinds Of Chassis Cabinet Door Covers

Sheet Metal Fabrication is a comprehensive cold processing process for metal sheets (usually less than 6mm), including shearing, punching/cutting/compositing, folding, riveting, splicing, forming (such as automobile bodies), etc. Its distinctive feature is that the thickness of the same part is consistent.

    Chassis and Cabinet Sheet Metal Fabrication Process:

    1. Basic Process Flow

    --Design Phase: Use software such as SolidWorks/AutoCAD to complete 3D modeling. Consider factors such as heat dissipation hole locations and load-bearing structures.


    --Cutting Process: Laser cutting achieves an accuracy of ±0.1mm. CNC punching is suitable for batch hole processing, and shearing machines are used for straight-line cutting.


    --Bending: A 200-ton servo press brake can process 6mm steel plates. Pay attention to the bending sequence (large angles first, then small angles) and mold selection (notch width ≥ 6 times the plate thickness).


    --Welding and Assembly: Argon arc welding is used for stainless steel, and CO₂ shielded welding is used for carbon steel. Post-weld polishing is required.


    --Surface Treatment: Powder coating (30-80μm film thickness) or brushed/mirror polishing. Must pass a 1000-hour salt spray test.


    2. Key Process Highlights

    --Precision Control: Coordinate measuring machines check dimensional tolerances (±0.05mm), and X-ray inspections check weld quality.


    --Material Selection: 304 stainless steel (1.0-1.5mm) for food equipment, galvanized steel (0.6-1.0mm) for cost-effective products.


    Special Processes:

    --Laser welding technology achieves 1500MPa high-strength structural components.


    --CNC dispensing replaces traditional sealing strips, improving waterproof and dustproof performance.


    --UV flatbed printing enables personalized logo design.


    3. Quality Inspection Standards


    Dimensional Inspection: Key hole accuracy ±0.05mm, flatness ≤0.5mm/m


    Strength Testing: Load-bearing test must reach 1.5 times the design load


    Environmental Testing: IP54 protection rating (dust and water resistance)


    Surface Inspection: Color difference ΔE ≤ 1.5, adhesion test (cross-cut method)


    4. Typical Application Cases


    Server Cabinet: 1.2mm cold-rolled steel, bent and powder-coated


    Power Control Cabinet: 2.0mm galvanized steel, welded, must pass EMC testing

    • What information do you need for a quote?

      Usually we need 3D & 2D drawings (STEP, STP, IGS, or PDF), quantity, material, surface finish, and any special requirements (tolerance, hardness, etc.).
    • What file formats do you accept?

      STEP, STP, IGS, X_T, DWG, DXF, PDF are all acceptable.
    • What’s your typical lead time?

      Prototype parts: 3-7 days. Small batches: 7-15 days. For large or complex projects, lead time depends on the complexity and quantity of the parts. We will specify the lead time in our quote.
    • Can you handle tight tolerances?

      Yes, we can achieve a machining accuracy of ±0.005mm, depending on the material and geometry。
    • What materials can you process?

      We can process most metal and plastic materials. Here are some common materials: Metals: Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Brass, Copper, Titanium, Tool Steel, etc. Plastics: ABS, POM, PP, PTFE, PC, Nylon, PEEK, Acrylic, etc.

    • How do you ensure quality control?

      Incoming material inspection → In-process inspection → Final inspection (CMM, projector, caliper, etc.).
    • Can you sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement)?

      Yes, we strictly protect all customer drawings and project details under NDA.
    • What’s your payment term?

      Usually 50% deposit, 50% before shipment. For long-term clients, flexible terms are available.
